Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive device for speedily identifying a medal or the like, in an amusement facility or the like.
SOLUTION: In the medal identifying device, with which a pixel uses a solid- state image pickup device 15 provided with a photodiode 19, a signal comparing part 21 and a signal holding circuit 23 for connecting an address line 5 for each of pixels, specifying the required address line 5 out of plural address lines 5 and extracting a signal only from the signal holding circuit 23 of a pixel, specified on the basis of an address signal from the specified address line 5 to a data line, equipped with an area sensor part 17 locating pixels for performing opto-electric conversion in two-dimensional form, the address line 5 is specified on concentric circles 45, 47 and 49 of a disc-shaped medal 39 and the medal 39 is identified, on the basis of the data of the concentric circle extracted by the address signal of the specified address line 5.
