PURPOSE: To shorten time for photographing one piece of picture while reducing a chip moving distance when picking up an image by additionally providing single color line sensors up and down.
CONSTITUTION: The respective color line sensors are parallelly arranged at a pitch D on one substrate 5 and in one color line sensor, three single color line sensors R(k), G(k) and B(k) are respectively arranged at a pitch D/3. Namely, all the single color line sensors are parallelly arranged at the equal pitch D/3 on the substrate 5. In this case, additional single color line sensors are provided one by one at both terminal parts in an N pieces of color line sensors. Thus, only by moving the substrate 5 for the distance D, the upper and lower edges of the picture can be photographed by all the line sensors, and photographing time can be shortened.
