Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain changeover variation in timing from linear reading to logarithm reading in solid state image sensor, and to perform highly accurate reading.SOLUTION: A first photoelectric conversion part performs photoelectric conversion of incident light into charges in a first region, and accumulates the charges. A second photoelectric conversion part performs photoelectric conversion of incident light into charges in a second region of smaller area than the first region, and accumulates the charges. A charge voltage conversion part accumulates the charges, subjected to photoelectric conversion in the first and second photoelectric conversion parts, for converting into a voltage. First and second charge transfer parts transfer the charges accumulated, respectively, in the first and second photoelectric conversion parts to the charge voltage conversion part. A charge reset part resets the charges accumulated in the charge voltage conversion part. A first charge discharge part discharges the charges accumulated in the first photoelectric conversion part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
