To perform high-speed reading by reducing a parasitic capacity about signal reading, and to reduce vertically striped noise.

A connection part 15 connects an outputting part of a correlated double sampling circuit 12 connected to a vertical signal line 11 and an output amplifier 14 hierarchically in two stages. The connection part 15 has a horizontal signal line 21 of a lower stage, a horizontal signal line 22 of an upper stage, a horizontal selection switch 31 of the lower stage for connecting the horizontal signal line 21 of the lower stage and an outputting part of the CDS (correlated double sampling) circuit 12, and a horizontal selection switch 32 of the upper stage for connecting the horizontal signal line 21 of the lower stage and the horizontal signal line 22 of the upper stage. The horizontal signal line 22 of the upper stage is connected to the output amplifier 14 at one end side of the horizontal signal line 22. A connection point 21a of the horizontal signal line 21 of the lower stage to the side of the horizontal signal line 22 of the upper stage is arranged closer to the side of the output amplifier 14 than a middle point of the horizontal signal line 21.
