To provide a solid state imaging apparatus capable of obtaining a signal output waveform which is free of the offset components of a signal output part, by preventing influence of waveform rounding of a horizontal transfer pulse at the final stage of a horizontal CCD on a signal output waveform.
The solid state imaging apparatus is equipped with a photodetection part 1, which photoelectrically converts and accumulates incident light by a plurality of pixels; a charge transfer part 2 which transfers signal charges accumulated in the photodetection part; a plurality of transfer gates which are formed on the charge transfer part; and an output part 4, which converts the charges transferred from the charge transfer part into a voltage or current signal and outputs it, and applies n-phase (n: an integer ≥2) drive signal to the transfer gates, to transfers signal charges to an output part side by the charge transfer part. Transfer gates which are applied with in-phase drive signals among the transfer gates are connected to one another, and the n-phase drive signal is inputted from sides 14 and 15 which are close to the output part among the plurality of transfer gates.
