Abstract:

To provide a solid-state imaging device with which sensitivity can be improved by increasing the condensing rate, and a method of manufacturing the same.

When a second microlens 52 of which refractive index is higher than that of a first microlens 51 is formed on the first microlens 51, it is sufficient that the second microlens 52 in the top layer has only a function of condensing to the first microlens 51. Accordingly, a microlens with a short focal distance and a small radius of curvature can be obtained. Since oblique incident light L2 can also be guided to a photosensor 2 efficiently, variation in light focus corresponding to changes in F values of a camera lens can be minimized.
