To provide a solid writing tool enabling the regeneration of a recording paper by erasing a line drawn on the recording paper, and the method for erasing the drawn line.

A line on a recording paper drawn by a solid writing tool containing a highly water absorbing resin is erased by immersing the recording paper into a peeling liquid 7 containing water and subsequently applying heat and pressure with a peeling roller 5 and a heating roller 8. The solid writing tool draws a line which can be erased by the line-erasing method. A binding material of the solid writing tool is composed of 50-90wt.% of a thermoplastic resin for toner having a softening point in a range of a peeling-roller temperature ±50°C, 3-30wt.% of a lubricating agent and 1-20wt.% of a highly water absorbing resin.
