PURPOSE: To provide a method of solidifying resin waste or other indusrial waste to such an extent as to meet the requirements for the compressive strength of the conventional construction and paving materials in producing such materials by reusing the aforesaid waste matter.
CONSTITUTION: In reusing resin waste, alumina solidifying agent and water are added to the ash of burned resin waste and then kneaded. This mixture has a resin waste: solidifying agent: water weight ratio of 5-10:2-5:1-4. After kneading, the kneaded mixture is placed into a die for press molding and removed therefrom for curing. As shown by solid line in the figure, the uniaxial compressive strength of the product obtained from such a process meets the requirements for the strength of a paving plate as shown by broken line, given that pressing force is applied at a pressure of 200kg/cm2. Fine aggregate may be added to the aforesaid mixture. As an alternative, an artificial stone consisting of stone powder and resin and a kneaded mixture comprising the fine particles of the industrial waste, alumina solifying agent and water are pressed together as the upper and the lower layer respectively to form a laminate plate.
