PURPOSE: To obtain a powdery preparation produced by forming a syrup containing galactooligosaccharide with zeolite in the form of pharmaceutical preparation, producible at a low cost and having easy handleability in the compounding of the preparation to a feed.

CONSTITUTION: The objective preparation is composed of (A) a syrup containing galactooligosaccharide and (B) a zeolite (preferably mordenite-type zeolite). The preparation is preferably produced by kneading and granulating the components A and B with a high-speed agitation mixing granulator, a kneader, etc., and, as necessary, subjecting the obtained granules to coarse crushing, sieving and drying. The component A preferably has a solid concentration of ≥75% in the syrup and a galactooligosaccharide concentration of ≥50% in the solid component. The galactooligosaccharide is e.g. 6-galactosyl lactose produced by treating lactose with β-galactosidase.
