Abstract:
To provide a fiber mainly composed of a resol resin having improved handleability by improving low spinnability of conventional resol resin and further improving brittleness of the obtained fiber, and a sheetlike material.
The solution comprises a blend obtained by blending a resol resin having a weight average molecular weight of 3,000-50,000 with 0.5-5 wt.% based on the whole blend amount of a polyvinylbutyral having a solution viscosity of 100 mPa s and 200 mPa s by the use of an amine-based catalyst as a catalyst and a solvent. The fiber comprises the blend. The sheetlike material comprises the fiber. The method for producing the fiber is provided. The method for producing the sheetlike material is provided.
