To provide a method for avoiding molten magnesium produced in a molten-salt electrolysis tank, or molten magnesium chloride that is a by-product formed in a reaction of titanium tetrachloride and the molten magnesium, from contacting with atmospheric air while the molten magnesium or molten magnesium chloride has been extracted from the electrolysis tank and transported to the next step, and to provide an apparatus therefor.
This method includes extracting molten magnesium chloride or molten magnesium into a solution-receiving container 11. An apparatus M for extracting the solution from the solution-receiving container 11 has a nozzle 30 for extracting the solution. The nozzle 30 for extracting the solution comprises a connecting flange 31 and a connecting pipe 32 for sealing the connection between the nozzle 30 and a solution-transporting container 15 which receives a molten metal and the like, installed at the end. The bottom end of the connecting pipe 32 is engaged and connected with a nozzle 37 for receiving the solution placed on the solution-transporting container 15. A sealing cover 33 for covering the connection is arranged.
