Roller pairs R1-Rn equipped with suction members S1-Sn are arranged to the transfer part 33 to feed the film 31. The roller pairs R1-Rn are arranged on the anti-peeling surface side from a band 27 of the film 31. In the roller pairs R1-Rn, air is sucked from the gaps between upstream rollers R1a-Rna and downstream rollers R1b-Rnb and the film 31 is drawn to the roller pairs R1-Rn by the sucked air to come into contact with them. The obtained film 31 has no tension, wrinkles, curling and the like and can be continuously formed at a high speed. Further, a polarizing sheet and a liquid crystal display device excellent in optical characteristics can be obtained using a cellulose triacetate film obtained by this method.
