Abstract:
PURPOSE: To effectively prevent vaporization of an isothiocyanic acid ester (ISOTC) by dissolving ISOTC in a specified essential oil.
CONSTITUTION: A solution of an isothiocyanic acid ester prepared by dissolving the isothiocyanic acid ester in an essential oil mainly composed of cinnamic aldehyde and/or cineole. As the essential oil, cinnamon oil or encalyptus oil is used. This solution is used in various fields including the field of food by utilizing the germicidal properties of ISOTC.
