To solve problems, e.g., that, in the case, from a member containing a stainless steel to which platinum is stuck to the surface, the platinum is recovered, the corrosion (dissolution) in the surface of the member containing the stainless steel is high, the reutilization of the member containing the stainless steel is difficult, and the recovery rate of the platinum is not sufficient in the conventional method.
A solution for separating platinum comprising nitric acid, an inorganic salt in which anions are Cl- and water is provided. Further, to the solution for separating platinum, one or more kinds selected from copper ions and iron ions are added. Further, to the solution for separating platinum, a chloride, hydrochloric acid and a hydrogen peroxide solution are added. Further, a method of separating platinum from a member containing a stainless steel to which platinum is stuck to the surface by using them is provided.
