PURPOSE: To provide a device which transmits microwave oscillation energy effectively to the solns. in contact with the permeable film surfaces of superposed sheets and separates solns. effectively by holding the superposed sheets of permeable films which generate said energy when applied with high frequencies in a tight state by means of intermediate members.
CONSTITUTION: Superposed sheets A consisting of dielectric porous films 1 which are hydrophobic to alcohols and are repellent to water and water permeable and conductive sheets 2 are laminated on both sides of a porous spacer 3. A part 30 of the spacer 3 is projected from the surfaces of the sheet A, A and the parts except the part 30 and the surfaces of the films 1 are coated with watertight films. A number of sheets A are contained horizontally in a case 5 and the top and bottom ends of the respective sheets A are fixed to a supporting frame 6 and a bottom surface 7, respectively. Further the midways of sheets B,W are held by respectively corresponding pressing members 8,W to keep the sheets A, A tight so that microwave oscillation energy is transmitted effectively to the alcohol solns. in contact with the film 1 surfaces of the sheets A, A whereby only the alcohol is separated with good efficiency.
