Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a solvent composition which comprises a specific amount of nonflammable perfluoro organic compound and is useful as a universal type of water-repellent and oil-repellent composition of no inflammability and no substrate selectivity as a non-CFC type of solvent-removing agent for a variety of substrates.

CONSTITUTION: The objective nonflammable composition comprises more than 40vol.% of a nonflammable perfluoro organic compound having a vapor pressure of higher than 30Torr at 25°C, preferably perfluoroalkane, perfluorocycloalkane or perfluoro cyclic ether, and an inflammable organic compound, preferably an ether of 7.5 solubility parameter.
