Abstract:
To provide a solvent for removing polychlorinated biphenyl which can be used for improving the removal efficiency of polychlorinated biphenyl, and an exhaust gas treatment apparatus excellent in treatment efficiency.
The solvent and the like for removing polychlorinated biphenyl is used by bringing it into contact with a contaminant containing polychlorinated biphenyl for removing the polychlorinated biphenyl from the contaminant, and comprises a first component consisting of one or more of normal paraffins, and a second component consisting of one or more of compounds having a dispersion term of a solubility parameter of 15-22 and having either of a hydrogen bond term or a polarity term of 12 or more.
