To provide a technique capable of automatically and immediately observing a composition of a solution in a substitution of a solvent using an azeotrope, and further automatically performing an operation of the substitution of the solvent using the azeotope.
A solvent substitution apparatus includes: a concentration tank 3; a means for supplying an ethanolic solution and an n-hexane containing a target substance into the concentration tank 3; a heating device 4 for heating a liquid in the concentration tank 3; a condenser 5 for cooling steam in the liquid in the concentration tank 3 for condensation; a distillation tank 6 for storing a condensate generated in the condenser 5; a detector for detecting the concentration of ethanol or n-hexane in the condensate or the liquid in the concentration tank 3; and a controlling device 8 for controlling the supply of n-hexane to the concentration tank 3 and the heating of the liquid in the concentration tank 3 by the heating device 4 according to the detected value of the detector, wherein an near-infrared spectroscopic sensor 7 is used for the detector.
