PURPOSE: To provide the titled paint having excellent clarity, wear resistance, etc., by incorporating a metal complex type spirit color and a silane compd. in a mixed resin consisting of a thermosetting acrylic resin, an alkyl-etherified urea resin and an epoxy resin.
CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. thermosetting acrylic resin (A) 15W40pts.wt. alkyl- etherified urea resin (B) having an acid value of 1W7 and 3W30pts.wt. epoxy resin (C) having an m.p. of 60W90°C and an MW of 500W1,500 are mixed together to obtain a mixed resin. 0.1W3wt% (based on the amount of the mixed resin) metal complex type spirit color such as Neosabon Red GE is mixed with the mixed resin. Further, 0.1W3wt% silane compd. having a functional group reactive with component A or C, such as β-epoxycyclohexylethyltrimethoxysilane, is incorporated in the mixed resin by pre-condensing said silane compd. with component A or C to obtain the titled clear paint.
