Title:
SOOT-BLOWING SYSTEM FOR REMOVING MATERIAL ADHERING TO HEAT-TRANSFER ELEMENT IN AIR PREHEATER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0533920
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To recover a pressure loss in an air preheater and to improve the efficiency of heat-exchange by surely and quickly removing material adhering strongly to heat-transfer elements, in the air preheater in which soot is blown with steam.

CONSTITUTION: Symbol a denotes an air preheater. While rotating a rotor in which heat-transfer elements 2 are provided, the air preheater transfers heat from exhaust gas of a high temperature to air of a low temperature and heats the air. Steam is sent to a nozzle 3a for a soot blower from a steam generator 5 through a steam pipe line 4. Symbol B designates a medium feed apparatus for blowing soot, and it is composed of both a hopper 7 for holding a mixture of coal ash and sand, and a compressor 8. A compressed air pipe is provided for the compressor 8 and is disconnectably connected to the steam pipe line 4, and the mixture in the hopper 7 is fed to the compressed air pipe. The apparatus B is movably installed.
