PURPOSE: To construct a sorter producing reduced noise by forming notches of varying size in rotary direction with predetermined interval into a rotary body having circumferential speed slightly higher than paper discharging speed, and inserting the tip of paper therein.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of notches 3aW3f are made with predetermined interval into a rotary body 4 having circumferential speed slightly higher than discharging speed of paper (c) from a paper discharging section A, such that the length of the notch increases toward a notch 3f and a roller 5 is contacted with a non-notched section (a). A plurality of bins 7 correspond with the notches 3aW3f through guides 9. Tip of discharged paper (c) enters into the first notch 3a, and when a rotary body 4 and the roller 5 rotate, the tip of the paper (c) is removed from the notch 3a through rigidity of the paper itself and the paper (c) is contained in an uppermost bin 7. then the rotary body 4 is stopped, and when the paper (c) enters into the second notch 3b, the rotary body 4 is rotated again so as to contain the paper (c) in the second stage bin 7, thus repeating similar operation. Consequently, a low cost, low noise sorter can be obtained.
