Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enhance reliability and the processing capacity of a sorting apparatus, lower the noise of the apparatus, and reduce the installation area of the whole system for the sorting apparatus by installing a control means to drop waste bottles in chutes with corresponding colors by opening bottom plates in a bucket conveyer based on a signal of a bottle color distinguishing means.
CONSTITUTION: Waste bottles 10 thrown from a bottle supply conveyer 1 are sorted based on respective sizes by a roller type size sorting apparatus 2 and bottles in each size are sent to a conveyer 6 from an outlet 4. Pulverized cullet is sent to a cullet discharging conveyer 5 out of an outlet 3. After that, the waste bottles 10 are sent to a lining up conveyer 7 joined to the conveyer 6 and lined up while being set up in the same direction. The lined up waste bottles 10 are sent to a bucket type conveyer 8 and sorting of the bottles based on the color is carried out by a color detector 9 installed in each bucket conveyer 8. Based on the detected signal of the color detector 9, the bottom plate of each bucket conveyer 8 is opened and the waste bottles 10 are dropped in a chute 17 with corresponding color.
