To provide a sorting apparatus capable of reliably performing the stacking work even when the sizes of objects to be sorted and thrown in a storage box are diversified.
A reception part 71 group for receiving books A to be thrown from a plurality of sorting conveyors 31 forming a conveying path 30 is provided. A storage box 72 which is top-opened from a bottom plate 74 having side plates 72a and an elevating/lowering inclined upper surface 74a is provided on each reception part 71. A guide bar 111 is provided at the upper position on the downstream side of the conveying path 30 of the storage box 72 in the horizontal direction orthogonal to the conveying path 30. A plurality of hanging block bodies 112 are provided from the predetermined position of the guide bar 111. In this constitution, even when the sizes of the books A to be thrown into the storage box 72 are diversified, the books A are guided to the inclined upper surface 74a by the guide bar 111, the fall of the stacked books A can be prevented by the block bodies 112, and the stacking work can be reliably performed.
