PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sorting apparatus by which products are sorted strictly precisely and certainly at high speed without damaging the products.
SOLUTION: This sorting apparatus comprises a main screw 30 which has a spiral groove 30a to be engaged with object bodies 14 to be sorted and is continuously rotated in order to align and transport the object bodies 14 to be sorted, a freely rotatable sub screw 32 which has a circular groove part 30d to stop the object bodies 4 to be sorted and transported and a spiral groove 32 to be engaged with the object bodies 14 to be sorted in order to align and transport them, a pusher 32 as a sending out means which is installed at the position of the circular groove part 30d and sends out the object bodies 4 to be sorted to the sub screw 32 from the main screw 30, and an interlocking mechanism to synchronize the sending out operation of the pusher 34 and the rotating movement of the sub screw 32; and the circular groove part 30d is formed in series with the spiral groove 30a between neighboring turns of the spiral groove 30a and the spiral groove 32a is formed at the position of the circular groove part 30d by branching from the main screw 30.
