Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the release locus of baggage to a sorting chute neary constant.
SOLUTION: A sorting device 100 has constitution where a carrirer belt 31 is moved in an orthogonal direction to the travel direction 6 of a traveling cart 4 having the carrier belt 31 for placing baggage 2, and the baggage 2 is delivered to a given sorting chute 8. In this case, the carrier belt 31 is driven to move previously the baggage 2 to be placed to the end part of the carrier belt 31 after the baggage 2 is loaded on the traveling cart 4 and before it is delivered. This shortens the movement distance of the baggabe 2 from the carrier belt to the sorting chute 8, to make the release locus of the baggage 2 to the sorting chute neary constant regardless of the weight, etc., of the baggage 2.
