Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a sorting machine for sorting head and tail of a fish, which can pinch a fish between two endless belts to sort a head and a tail of the fish and which has a simple structure and which can improve the sorting quantity, by arranging two endless belts, which are wound over belt rollers, so that the belt surfaces thereof are opposite to each other, and driving these belts to circulate in the same direction.
CONSTITUTION: When a motor 10 is started, power is transmitted through a belt 15 to drive belt rollers 3a, 7a, and two endless belts 5, 9 are circulated in the same direction. At this stage, fishes are sent by a belt conveyor 23. The fishes are fallen from a hopper 25 to a part between the two belts 5, 8. Since the belt surfaces pinching the fish travel in the directions opposite to each other, the fish 29 pinched between the belts is carried left as same as the direction with the belt 5 travelling reversely, namely, to the direction, to which a head of the fish is directed. In the case where a head of the fish is directed right, the fish is sent right. Fishes are aligned and sent from a right and a left chutes 27 under the condition that the head thereof is positioned forward. These fishes are joined to be sent to the next process.
