To prevent a residual cleaned rice from being generated with a mechanical design to properly change the elevation of a hopper for storing the cleaned rice, if necessary by additionally installing a freely detachable hopper for compensating for the elevation, in a sorting machine for rice of small grain equipped with a hopper for storing rice which communicates with the lower part of the machine surrounded by a cylindrical sorting net.

The sorting machine B for rice of small grain for a mini-rice cleaning plant is equipped with a sorting chamber 26 for rice of small grain extending vertically surrounded by a sorting net 23, and the top of the sorting chamber 26 communicates with a cleaned rice discharge trough through a cleaned rice discharge port, while the bottom communicates with a hopper 21 for storing the cleaned rice through a cleaned rice supply port 29. In addition, a shutter 40 which is opened by a lever is installed on the hopper 21, and at the same time, a freely detachable hopper 21B for compensating for the elevation is additionally provided on the hopper 21. Thus the position of the hopper 21 is allowed to match the position of the cleaned rice discharge port. Further, a delivery port 105 for residual rice is provided on the inclined face at the bottom of the hopper 21 to enable complete discharge or the residual rice remaining at the lower part of the sorting chamber 26 to the outside of the sorting machine.
