PURPOSE: To attain the adjustment of sound quality while keeping desired sound field compensation even when added effect sound of the front channel differs from that of the rear channel by providing a sound quality adjustment means for frequency adjustment and an effect sound adding means to the audio signals of the front and rear channels individually.
CONSTITUTION: A front channel signal of a left channel audio signal is subject to frequency characteristic adjustment by a front sound quality adjustment circuit 11 provided individually to the channel and an effect sound is added by an effect sound providing means such as individual front surround circuits 13 without giving effect onto the rear channel. The rear channel signal is processed by the individual circuit to the channel without giving effect on the rear channel and even when the effect sound added in the front and rear channels differs from each other while the desired sound field is kept, the sound quality is adjusted. Moreover, the right channel audio signal is similarly processed.
