The sound adjustment device is equipped with a target sound frequency characteristic database 37, which stores target sound frequency characteristics related to target sound frequency characteristics corresponding to a sound field 7, a sound signal adjusting means 12 of adjusting the sound signal reproduced from a sound source as a music source, a speaker 14 which outputs the adjusted sound signal as a sound to the sound field 7, a microphone 15 which picks up the sound, a sound characteristics deciding means 32 of deciding whether components by frequency bands obtained from the picked-up signal are proper respectively, and a sound adjustment data calculating means 38 of calculating sound adjustment data so that the sound frequency characteristics, corresponding to the components that the sound characteristics deciding means 32 decides as being proper are the target sound frequency characteristics, and the sound signal adjusting means 12 adjusts the sound signal according to the sound adjustment data calculated by the sound adjustment data calculating means 38.
