This headphone is separately provided with a headphone section 10 where microphone elements 14L, 14R that detect sound around the user and signal sound transduction elements 15L, 15R having a function as a sound source to cancel the sound around the user are housed in headphone cases 13L, 13R and a control circuit section 20 configuring a noise canceling headphone with the headphone section 10. The control circuit section 20 is adjusted to have a prescribed frequency characteristic and processing a gain characteristic at a prescribed frequency to reduce the dispersion. The headphone section 10 is provided with gain adjustment sections 16L, 16R.
