CONSTITUTION: In the case of executing the digital signal processing of an acoustic signal obtained from an acoustic signal source 2 and positioning a sound image in a required direction such as the immediately front direction of the listening position, a band effective for sound image control is extracted from the acoustic signal by a BPFs F1L, F1R and only the acoustic signal in the extracted band is processed by an acoustic signal processor 3 such as a digital signal processor. Thereby the number of signal processing steps in the processor 3 can be reduced in accordance with a case for processing all the bands of the acoustic signal and highly accurate signal processing for improving sound quality can be inexpensively executed. Or, other signal processing such as the addition of a reverberation sound can also be executed.
