PURPOSE: To provide the title sound insulating material which has excellent flame retardance and fireproofness and is obtd. by the reclamation of spent resources, by blending a vinyl chloride resin with a plasticizer, an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer, etc., a specified sound insulating filler, a liquid rubber and a flame-retardant fiber.
CONSTITUTION: 100pts. (by weight; the same applies hereinbelow) vinyl chloride resin (A) is blended with 30W150pts. plasticizer (B) (e.g., dioctyl phthalate), 30W150pts. ethylen/vinyl acetate copolymer having a vinyl acetate content of not lower than 15wt% and/or ethylene/vinyl acetate/vinyl chloride terpolymer (C) having an ethylene content of 30W60wt% and a vinyl acetate content of 30W60wt%, 700W2,000pts. sound insulating filler (D) obtd. by mixing an iron concentrate slag having a bulk density of 3W4, a specific gravity of 4.0W4.2 and a particle size of not larger than 100 mesh, formed as a by-product in a copper smelting stage, with a powdered lead compd. having a particle size of 0.5W100μ and adjusting the specific gravity of the mixture to 4.3 or higher, 10W100pts. liquid rubber (E) such as a liquid chloroprene rubber and 3W120pts. flame-retardant fiber (F) having a fiber length of 1W15mm (e.g., glass wool).
