PURPOSE: To provide the panel which has an excellent sound insulating property, is light in weight, has high mechanical strength and obviates the generation of the warpage by the influence of temp., humidity, etc.

CONSTITUTION: A suitable number of sheets of veneers 1 alternately having stripe-shaped rugged parts on front and rear surfaces are laminated and adhered by using an adhesive compounded with inorg. powders of a high sp. gr. (powders of lead, lead alloy, iron, zinc, titanium oxide, etc.) in such a manner that the rugged parts of the veneers 1 do not mesh each other to form a laminated plate. Plates or sheets (plates or sheets of lead alloy, iron or zinc, etc.) 2 of a high sp. gr. are provided on the front and rear surfaces and/or in the intermediate of the laminated plate. Inorg. powder of a high sp. gr. is packed into hollow parts 4 of the laminated plate formed of the recessed parts of the veneers 1.
