To achieve desired directional characteristics in a sound output element array by simple work.
The sound output element array includes: the sound output element array arranged on the same axis; a first digital filter group having the same number of digital filters as the respective sound output elements to which reproducing sound signals are input; and a second digital filter group having the same number of digital filters to which interference sound signals are input. When respective sound signals emitted from the respective sound output elements are convoluted and mixed by respective approximate transmission functions approximated such that a part from the respective sound output elements to respective control points is a free space, to the first digital filter group, a filter coefficient for turning the convoluted and mixed signals to non-zero at the control point of a sound reproducing area set in an axial direction in which the respective sound output elements are arranged and to zero at the control point of a sound interruption area excluding the sound reproducing area is set. To the second digital filter group, a filter coefficient for turning them to zero at the control point of the sound reproducing area and to non-zero at the control point of the sound interruption area excluding the sound reproducing area is set.
