Abstract:
To obtain a sound production device which does not require individual customization for each vehicle module, achieves high reliability, and prevents deterioration of sound pressure due to cancellation of sound waves.
A sound production device 6 is mounted on a vehicle 1 and produces an audible alert for informing the presence of the vehicle 1. The sound production device includes a box body 20 having an opening surface, a diaphragm 21 attached to the opening surface to be integrally formed with the box body 20, and a super-magnetostriction actuator 30 disposed in the box body 20 and vibrating the diaphragm 21 through expansion and contraction of a magnetostrictor to produce the audible alert.
