PURPOSE: To record simultaneously both graphic information and sound information on a single sheet of recording medium and at the same time to facilitate the transfer of these recorded information to a remote place and the reproduction of them, by recording the sound information to a sheet type material in the form of a 2-dimensional form and then reading the recorded pattern to reproduce a sound signal.
CONSTITUTION: The sound information given from a sound collector 1 is given to a processing circuit 2 and converted into codes/patterns 6W9. These patterns 6W9 are sent to a printer 3 to be printed on a recording medium such as the paper, film, cloth, etc. in the form of a 2-dimensional pattern. When the printed sounds are reproduced, the sound pattern is read optically by a reader 4 and then converted into a sound parameter for sound synthesization. The output of synthesization is supplied to a speaker 5.
