To provide a soundproof cover reducing the diffusion of sound generated in a vehicle, causing fire to be prevented or extinguished, for example, in an engine room, and miniaturizing the circumferential components of the engine.
A hollow part 18 is formed in the soundproof cover 10, and the hollow part is filled with a fire extinguisher 30. The soundproof cover is attached to a position made to face opposite to an intake manifold of the engine. The soundproof cover inside is filled with the fire extinguisher, so that if a collision accident occurs, the fire retardant jetted out from the soundproof cover to extinguish the fire. That is to say, the fire extinguisher inside the soundproof cover is jetted out so that the fire extinguishing works can be performed quickly and surely. The fire extinguisher fills the hollow part of the soundproof cover to dispense with the conventional fire extinguishing device to be separately attached to the vehicle, make the circumferential components of the engine compact in size, which is highly required recently in particular, and be produced at a low cost.
