Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance operability of maintenance without impairing soundproof property, in a soundproof engine having a soundproof case.SOLUTION: In a soundproof engine which comprises an engine body and a soundproof case (15) for accommodating engine peripheral components and a fuel tank, and in which an opening part (15B) is formed on a sidewall of the soundproof case, and on which a cover member (51) is mounted so as to cover the opening part, a notched part (15E) is provided at an upper edge of the opening over an upper wall from an upper part of the sidewall of the soundproof case, the cover member is constituted of an upper cover (51) having a shape corresponding to the notched part and a side cover (52) having a shape corresponding to the opening part excluding the notched part, the upper cover (51) is engaged with the notched part by being inserted thereto from a sideway, and the side cover (52) is fixed to the side wall of the soundproof case while covering the opening part in a state that an upper edge part is joined to an opening side edge part of the upper cover.
