To reduce the power consumption of a source driver with respect to a technique for driving a liquid crystal panel.

The source driver 100 performs inversion driving of data lines of a liquid crystal panel 120. In the source driver 100, a plurality of charge equalizing switch groups SWR, SWG and SWB are set for each color of pixels. Each charge equalizing switch pairs and connects two closest data lines assigned to the same color. The two data lines are driven in opposite polarities. The closest pixels of the same color have the same gradation in many cases, so that the source driver is implemented to have low power consumption by equalizing electric charges between data lines corresponding to the pixels.
