To make a special curtain rail (having a holding groove) which requires a high cost unnecessary, to enable the attaching and the detaching from an already installed curtain rail to easily be performed, and in addition, to solve and eliminate various kinds of problems resulting from the contact with a curtain due to the swinging of the curtain or the like.
A space closing device for curtains includes: a bracket 2 which is pinch-held while being placed on a curtain rail 5 from above; and a space closing sheet 3 which is vertically hung and held from the bracket 2 in a manner to close a space S which is generated in a vertical space between a curtain 6 and the curtain rail 5. On the bracket 2, a fitting mouth section 18 in which the upper edge section of the space closing sheet 3 is inserted is installed. At the same time, on the space closing sheet 3, an engaging section which is fitted in the fitting mouth section 18 of the bracket 2 is installed along the sheet upper edge section. The fitting mouth section 18 is made to open diagonally downward and outward in a manner to separate from the curtain 6 as going downward so as to be able to separate and hold the space closing sheet 3 from the curtain 6.
