Title:
SPACE DIVISION MULTIPLE ACCESS RADIO COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ALLOCATING CHANNEL FOR THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH09215052
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a space division multiple access(SDMA) radio communication system for any suitable execution example. SOLUTION: This SDMA radio communication system utilizes a base station 101 having plural antenna elements 103 to be used for transmission/reception to plural pieces of radio communication equipment 107 and 109 on the same frequency and time channel. In order to suppress interference between radio communication equipment signals to a minimum, the sets of different beam formation weight are applied for the communication of respective pieces of radio communication equipment 107 and 109. Concerning each pair of radio communication equipment sharing the channel, the set of distance metric is calculated by utilizing the set of weight. When the distance metric is smaller than a prescribed threshold, any one of radio communication equipment 107 and 109 is allocated to a new channel again or an hand-over instruction is executed.
