Abstract:
To provide a spacer that suppresses a decrease in the cooling performance of a battery cell and a battery module provided with the spacer.SOLUTION: A spacer that forms a distribution flow path through which a cooling fluid for cooling a battery cell is distributed in a gap between adjacent battery cells includes a plate-shaped inlet surface member facing each surface of adjacent battery cells so as to cover the upstream end of the gap in the flow direction of the cooling fluid, and at least two strip-shaped members provided in the gap in a direction intersecting the flow direction of the cooling fluid and extending along the flow direction of the cooling fluid, and abutting the surface of each of adjacent battery cells defining the gap, and the distribution flow path is formed between two adjacent strip-shaped members, and the inlet surface member is formed with a plurality of slits penetrating the inlet surface member, the plurality of slits and the distribution flow path communicate with each other, and the flow path area of the distribution flow path is configured to be larger than the flow path area of each of the slits.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
