The spacer 10 is provided between housing washers 12 and 16 of a pair of rolling bearings 11 and 15 located axially apart. It includes a first cylindrical ring 21 provided coaxially with the housing washer 12 at one of axial sides and in contact with a side face 12a of the housing washer 12, a second cylindrical ring 22 provided coaxially with the housing washer 16 at the other axial side and in contact with a side face 16a of the housing washer 16, and a plurality of columnar couplings 23 provided circumferentially apart between the first cylindrical ring 21 and the second cylindrical ring 22 for coupling the first cylindrical ring 21 with the second cylindrical ring 22. Each of the columnar couplings 23 has an elastic deforming portion 30 capable of elastic deformation in a circumferential direction when axial compressive force acts thereto.
