To suppress heat conduction between both sheet glasses via spacing holding members for holding the spacing between opposite surfaces at a prescribed spacing as for as possible while preventing the damage to these sheet glasses by interposing a gap part between the opposite surfaces of both sheet glasses of a glass panel, hermetically sealing the gap part to a reduced pressure state by forming the gap part between a pair of the sheet glasses apart a prescribed spacing held therebetween, providing over the entire circumference thereof with outer peripheral sealing parts.
A pair of contact surface parts 5, which come into contact respectively separately with both opposite surfaces 2, are formed at these opposite surfaces and heat transfer resistance parts 6 of the cross sectional area smaller than the contact area thereof with the opposite surfaces 2 are formed between both contact surface parts 5. For example, the contact surface parts 5 are formed of planar parts, and in the spacings between these planar parts, columnar body parts of the cross sectional area smaller than the contact area thereof with the opposite surfaces 2 are formed. These columnar body parts are formed in the heat transfer resistance parts 6.
