To provide a spare belt attachment structure of a satchel which proves very durable even when the satchel is used like a handbag or a shoulder bag and permits even lower-grade school children to easily handle the structure.
Gore belts 3 are laid along the obverse sides of right and left gore portions 2 of a satchel body 1; reinforcing plates 4 are laid along the reverse sides of the right and left gore portions 2; the gore belts 3 and the reinforcing plates 4 are riveted to the right and left gore portions 2 at a plurality of locations with the right and left gore portions 2 interposed inbetween; one of the riveted portions is riveted together with a stopping body 6 to which a suspension ring 5 is attached. Stoppers 8 provided at both ends of the spare belt 7 can detachably be attached to the suspension rings 5 of the stopping bodies 6.
