To provide a spare coating machine in which a scraper scraping a coating liquid adhering on a roller outer peripheral surface can contact autonomously over the longitudinal direction of the roller, and a coating machine provided with the same.

The spare coating machine is provided with a roller surface-scraping apparatus scraping the coating liquid adhering on the outer peripheral surface of the roller by allowing the scraper to abut to the outer peripheral surface of the roller. The roller surface-scraping apparatus has a scraper position-autonomy controller allowing a change in position of the scraper such that the scraper abut to the outer peripheral surface of the roller along an axial direction of the roller.
