The spare cord continuously usable, automatic binding machine makes it possible to connect a cord of roll being used and a spare cord of roll, thereby continuously encircling an object with the cord so that it is bound. The automatic binding machine has a guide member having one or more guide holes. The guide member comprises the guide hole for guiding the binding cord supplied from the cord roll, a cord inserting hole located a specific distance apart from the guide hole, and a connecting groove which connects the guide hole and the cord inserting hole.
