PURPOSE: To obtain a tire cover which can cover the tire in accordance with the width thereof by arranging the top of a plate-shaped tire cover to be folded into a crown part of the tire with a hinge.

CONSTITUTION: When a thick tire T2 is covered with a tire cover C3 being placed into a tire housing H2, the first fold cover section 19 and the second fold cover section 20 are folded with the second hinge 18 to be inserted into the crown section of the tire T2. Then, the first set plate section 24 is folded with the fourth hinge 23 to be placed on a floor panel 15 and then, a hook 27 is retained on the shoulder 15a thereof. Then, a female hook 29 of a belt 30 is fastened on a male hook 28 of the tire cover C3. Thus, the tire cover C3 becomes different in the position of the hinge for bending by an increment in the width of the tire to house in the shift from the tapered tire T1 to the thick tire T2.
