Abstract:

To provide a spark-ignition engine system which can reduce cost without any need to enhance exhaust purifying catalysts and can secure engine output.

The spark-ignition engine system 10 is provided with a spark-ignition engine 12, an emulsion fuel supplying section 14 which supplies emulsion fuel produced by mixing hydrocarbon fuel and water, an atomized gas injecting section 16 which atomizes the emulsion fuel supplied from the emulsion fuel supplying section 14 by mixing it with gas, a partial oxidation reacting section 18 which partially oxidizes by gas the emulsion fuel atomized by being mixed with gas injected by the atomized gas injecting section 16, and an engine fuel supplier 22 which supplies the emulsion fuel partially oxidized by the partial oxidation reacting section 18 to the spark-ignition engine 12.
