Abstract:

To provide a spark ignition four-cycle engine for vehicles, in which an ignition plug is disposed in a cylinder head and a cylindrical member for sealing is held by a simple structure when the ignition plug is disposed on a cam chain chamber side.

An opening 71 facing the cam chain chamber 68 is arranged in the cylinder head 24 so that a camshaft 48 may be inserted/fit into the cylinder head 24. A side cover 72 for closing the opening 71 is fit to the cylinder head 24. The ignition plug 42 is disposed so as to pass through a loop of a cam chain 67 and inserted into the cylindrical member 75. Both ends of the cylindrical member 75 are fit respectively into the cylinder head 24 and the side cover 72, while interposing circular sealing members 76, 77 therebetween, and are supported thereby.
